Never thought I'll be going to tokyo this year but I did! All thanks to Shu Uemura Malaysia for inviting me to their new collaboration with Maison Kitsuné launch in Tokyo.Fyi, I'm a huge fan of Maison Kitsuné so I was super excited when I know about their collaboration with Shu Uemura. All I can say is their launch in Tokyo was crazy amazing (they did it in a shrine!). Very well planned itinerary! Totally filmed it down so stay tuned for my video!
Anyway, it was suppose to be a 3 days 2 nights trip but I extended two more nights cuz I love Tokyo and 3 days ain't enough for me lol. This time, I was all alone for the extended day and I was pretty confuse where to stay for the rest of the days. Either I extend the same hotel I was staying for the trip, Palace Hotel Tokyo, which is crazy expensive or Airbnb. So yea, Airbnb is it! I've been staying with Airbnb for the past few trips in Tokyo and I'm so glad that their stays in Tokyo increased so much compare to 2 years ago. Especially the shibuya/harajuku area.
It's actually okay to stay anywhere cuz the train transportation in Tokyo is very convenient. Since it was a short trip for me, I decided to stay at the hipster area where all the cafes & restaurant & fashion boutiques located, Omotesando. Browsed all day on Airbnb and I FOUND THE MOST EPIC STAY EVER -- The Caravan Tokyo. Yes. I actually stayed on a caravan for 2 nights. It was a pretty crazy idea but after reading all the reviews. It's a green light for me.
Tbh, the caravan was larger than what it was on the pictures. Bed just nice for two people (even better for one!) and yes, there's a toilet & shower inside. It's a lil bit noisy at night as there's food stalls around the area but it's totally cool after 10pm. Didn't really bother me cuz I was out before 10pm.
I don't recommend for a long stay, more suitable for a 1-2 nights experience to stay in a caravan. Good thing about it is it's situated at the perfect location, 2 minutes from Omotesando metro station exit. My friends was asking if its dangerous, tbh it's Tokyo! One of the safest city in the world, I might think twice if it's in another city. Of course, to be extra safe, always read the reviews and be aware of the red flags on Airbnb listings before making any bookings. Communicate with the host before hand and always trust your instincts if you feel weird about anything.
Btw I'm giving out travel credits for you on your next stay with Airbnb!
My tokyo travel video is not ready yet so here's some of the photos taken!

Hi, i was wondering what did you use to snap your photos? As in a phone or a camera ? If camera, can you share what brand it is as i am looking to get a camera and i need some suggestions. Thank you in advance.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos so much!
ReplyDeleteMust be pleasant to have enough cash to travel. The majority of need to granulate out occupations just to make due with no trust of constantly voyaging abroad. Many of my female friends who have adhered to the more 'traditional' routes often state how much they envy my lifestyle but I've never really had a 'great love', perhaps as a result.
